OZ LOTTO (AUSTRALIA)
OZ Lotto is an Australian national lotto game administered by Tattersall’s and played weekly on Tuesday nights. The OZ Lotto lottery was introduced on 26 February 1994 and was promoted as the first fully national lotto game, at the time when New South Wales did not participate in Saturday Lotto.
Originally, the game was the same as Saturday Lotto with identical rules, requiring six numbers to be picked out of 45 in order to win. However, starting 18 October 2005, a seventh number was introduced, greatly increasing the odds of winning 1st Division prize. In line with this change, OZ Lotto changed branding and advertising campaign to emphasise the seventh ball such as Super 7's OZ Lotto or OZ 7 Lotto in Queensland.

Placing an OZ Lotto ticket requires betting on 7 numbers out of 45. The draws take place weekly on Tuesday nights, Australian time. 9 balls are selected from 45 balls – first seven numbers are drawn – ‘winning numbers’, while the other two are ‘supplementary numbers’. To hit the OZ Lottery jackpot you need to select all seven ‘winning numbers’. The ‘supplementary numbers’ play part in the lower level divisions.
OZ Lotto prize structure:
A chance to hit the OZ Lottery jackpot is 1 to 45 million while a chance to win any prize is 1:55 (prizes for the lowest divisions). Although the seventh number was introduced the minimum prize level remained unchanged thus leading to seven OZ Lotto prize divisions:
